Regeuz Q&A
Where are you based?
Bournemouth, U.K
How long have u been DJing and producing?
stopped dj- ing about 8 years ago. Since then I have been making tunes on and off (and with limited success!)
Who and What are your musical influences?
I'm influenced by alot of the jazz legends like Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Lonnie Liston Smith and Bob James. Drum and bass wise I was first inspired by the early reinforced stuff like 4 Hero, Rob Playford, Goldie, Dj Crystl and Omni Trio. Then I got into GLR in a big way. All the artists on there were what really inspired me to want to make deep stuff - Bukem, Big Bud, Blame, Seba, Artemis, oddysey. I think they deserved more recognition outside of drum and bass for being great musicians, but alot of people have never heard of them which is a shame.
What are you currently working on?
I've just finished a tune called Safe Haven which is very dark and deep, and I'm working on a couple of other more dance floor orientated tunes. They'll probably be ready for release early 2010.
What are your plans for the future?
I'd like to try and do some real headbanging tunes and forget about chords and stuff.
