Amaning

DJ & Poducer Tom Amaning grew up in Ghana & London, after leaving London 1995 he quickly started Djing wanting to help spread the fresh Jungle Sound in Germany.

After djing a couple of yrs around Germany & Europe he was determined to make and release his own quality Records. He quickly made a name for himself with his musical, oldschool / jungle influenced tunes which Germany´s big dogs like Bassface Sascha, E.decay & Mad Vibesz were playing out.

Working with people like Mad Vibez, The Green Man, Syncopix & MTC Yaw with whom he released High Spirit under their synonym I.S.S (MTC Yaw & Amaning) in 2003, he soon caught the attention of international Dj´s like Ink, Loxy & Flight (1 xtra) who invited him and TGM for a guestmix in Dez. 2003. Loxy was the one who got Claytons attention onto Amaning who at the time was working with 2 other guys under the synonym AJC (Amaning, J-Cut & Canoma), writing upfront liquid aswell as harder & more deeper tunes. Clayton signed Amaning´s “Sticks & Stones” and AJC´s What u like for a Renegade Release beginning of 2005.

A string of releases are set to follow from AJC around summer ´05, some to watch out for are M-factor on Rawhill´s U3R Label & By ure Side on Phunkfiction. Also this summer Amaning´s Debut on Vibez feat. the vocal tallents of MC Youngman (Technique Recordings) aswell as on Soundtrax Big bUds own imprint are set to cause hovoc in the D&B Scene.

Amaning´s sound is very vercetile and cannot be labeled as liquid or anything else, his strong musical influences like Roy Ayres give his music a certain soulful touch, but deffenately has a big dancefloor character.

Now working on new projects with different producers like Loxy, David Carbone or Diz:play (N:phect & Diz:play) we are bound to hear some new & heavy beats from one of Germany´s up and coming Producer very very soon...
